Aguadilla / Aguadilla - Acevedo Ramos
« Last post by mateoramon on November 12, 2015, 06:45:38 PM »
I am at a brick wall in my search for Miguel Acevedo and Epifania Ramos of Aguadilla. They are the parents of Felipa Acevedo y Ramos. b. 1850, d. sometime after the 1920 census. Felipa lived in the barrio Caimital Bajo. She was married to Carmelo Sanabria y Blas who pCensoreded away young, at 50. She then remarried or at least co-habitated with Andres Arce y Vega. Felipa had 4 children who lived (Gregorio, Juan, Barbarino, and Ysidora (aka Aurora)) and one that pCensoreded away very young (Rosa).

Miguel and Epifania also had another daughter that I am aware of, Justina Acevedo y Ramos. b. 1862, d. 1937 Santurce.

According to birth certificates of Felipa's children Miguel and Epifania were "naturales de Aguadilla" but I cannot locate any information on them other than listed as the parents and grandparents of the above.

Please contact me with any information that can help break through this wall.

Thank you,
Mateo Ramon Rosario Perez

I would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction regarding researching the Lafont family. I am stuck at finding any information on Avelino Lafont. His wife is Agueda Pacheco. The address according to the 1910 census was 672 calle Celis Aguilera, Farjardo. Avelino's occupation is listed as Mayordomo Ingenio Azucar. The census lists Avelino as 65 years old.

I would like to get an idea of what tools are available for this research. Thank you, Nani Lafont

En el siglo 19 la ortografia no era la mejor, por lo que vera muchos errores ortograficos. Espero que esta informacion le haya ayudado en su busqueda.

Are there any other Cubero's from Camuy?  My family moved from Camuy to New York starting in the 1950's.  I have researched the name on ancestry.com and know my grandparents were
Martin Cubero and Marcelina Reyes.

I'm trying to get info on my great grandfather Manuel Busgio father of Ramon Busigo and his mother was Socorro Ramos. I believe Ramon was born 1905 in Mayaguez. I can't confirm Manuals' POB ???  If it helps the surname is popular in sabana grande. Can I get info from the church records of that time?

Hello Boricuas,
I am looking for any relations to the family Borrero,Madieros and the Morales families. They were from Penuelas, Ponce Deleon, Ponce areas. They migrated to Hawaii in the 1900's and from there moved to San Francisco. My Great Grandfathers name was Ramon Borrero, married to Portolatina Morales and had several children, Rufina, Rufino, Nicanor, Posidonia and Pedro. My Great grandfathers name was Diego Borrero and he was married to an undocumented Indian woman. We have no knowledge of her name. We are hoping she was a Taino Indian. If you have any leads please contact me at kauaimama1@sbcglobal.net. Love to hear from you. Oh my name is Stephanie Sanchez and I am originally from San Francisco California. My grandparents moved to the mainland in 1926 if that helps.

Minerva,
You also might want to change your profile on ancestry cause it says that you've been a member since December 31, 1899. :)
